The University is strongly committed to the promotion of goodwill in the larger community which is essential to the continued cooperation of the University and its neighbors in civic projects and to the furtherance of the University’s broader mission to contribute to the general good of society. In addition, because the University is in an urban setting, it is an inseparable part of the community and the surrounding neighborhoods. An individual’s conduct or behavior becomes a proper concern of the University if it adversely affects the academic interest of the student or other members of the University or the University’s pursuit of its educational objectives.
